Can I bring a guest?

Absolutely! It’s very important to us that you have as much fun as possible at this event, so we want you to feel free to bring a friend, date, or significant other. Once you get your official wedding invitation from us in early-mid July, we’ll ask you to RSVP on our website and let us know who plans on attending.

Are children invited?

Yes - we want our wedding to be as inclusive as possible, and that means inviting our family and friends of all ages! Feel free to contact us if you have specific questions about childcare.

What should I wear?

Whatever makes you feel most wonderful! We want you to be both comfortable and confident at this event. Remember when choosing your outfit & shoes that, while we’ll have a tent, this is an outdoor wedding so please dress for the weather and terrain (grass, hills, etc.).

What happens if it rains?

Then we’ll get wet! Okay, we’re kidding (sort of). Of course we have a “rain plan” but, if the weather is less-than-ideal on the big day, we’re going to roll with it. Keep an eye on the weather forecast for September 12 and bring outwear, umbrellas, etc. if it looks like you’ll need them.

Where should I stay?

We’re reserving blocks of rooms and securing group rates at local hotels, which you can find listed in the Accommodations section on the When & Where page.

You can also find local houses to rent for the weekend on AirBnB and, if you’re looking to stay like royalty (literally - the Queen of England has stayed there!), we’ve only heard amazing things about The Inn at Little Washington located just 5 minutes from our land.

Why is the address for your land “TBD”?

When we say our land is “untouched”, we mean it! We’re currently working on getting an official address for our land, which is located between our neighbors at 388 Fodderstack Rd. (to the north) and 335 Fodderstack Rd. (to the south). As soon as we have a street address of our own, we’ll update the Ceremony & Reception section of our website accordingly.

Will I have cell phone service?

Depends on which service provider you use - if your service is with Sprint, then you should get service! Otherwise, if you have service with AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, or any other carrier, you’ll probably lose reception by the time you reach our property. We’ll have a Sprint cell phone on-site in case of emergency and for use if necessary, but we hope you’ll enjoy this excuse to disconnect and go tech-free for a day!

You’re welcome to drive and park on our property. We’re also working on organizing group transportation - more details to come. Our land is in a fairly remote area of Virginia, so ride share services like Uber and Lyft are unfortunately not currently a reliable transportation option.

What are my transportation options?
